This training covers two separate courses at the same time.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers is American Heart Association’s first responder CPR course. This covers all basic CPR certification needed for working in a hospital or medical care facility.
Some subjects include:
- 1 and 2 rescuer CPR (for the adult, child and infant),
- the use of an AED
- Choking
If you are not a healthcare provider, you can still participate in this course.
There is no pre course information necessary. This course is designed to give you the fundamentals of CPR in a medical setting.
Some candidates for this course include:
- Nurses, Doctors, pharmacist, EMT and all supporting medical positions and students
First Aid covers multiple workplace and environmental injuries. Some of the injuries include:
- Bleeding
- recognizing heart attacks and strokes
- broken bones
- animal and insect bites
Some of the skills practiced include:
- taking off gloves properly
- finding (recognizing) the problem
- the use of an epi-pen
- stopping bleeding and bandaging properly
-Upon completion of this course, you will receive two separate completion cards that is valid for 2 years ( one for BLS and one for First Aid).
