Heartsaver CPR AED and First Aid is a course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency.
This course teaches:
- adult CPR and AED use,
- child and/or infant CPR AED (optional, but available training)
- The relief of choking for an adult, child and infant.
- This course is structured for anyone needing CPR Training who is outside of a medical related position (inside or outside a hospital/clinical setting).
Heartsaver First Aid covers multiple workplace and environmental injuries. Some of the injuries include:
- Bleeding
- recognizing heart attacks and strokes
- broken bones
- animal and insect bites
Some of the skills practiced include:
- taking off gloves properly
- finding (recognizing) the problem
- the use of an epi-pen
- stopping bleeding and bandaging properly
– Upon completion of this course, you will receive a certification card valid for 2 years.
